Alisa Petrosova is an artist, climate storyteller, organizer and recent graduate of the inaugural class of the Columbia Climate School. She holds a BFA from The Cooper Union, where her climate journey began as the founder of the Cooper Climate Coalition. She believes that change starts with people and community, and thus with culture and cultural institutions. She uses stories and imagination to bring major crises back to human scales and help others communally imagine diverse, resilient, and inclusive climate futures. She wants to lead and instigate change, aligning our culture with the reality of the future, as a way to help shape policy for faster adaptation and mitigation through better storytelling.
